What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, like analytics cookies, are optional and should only be set if you agree.

The cookies I use

This website only uses optional analytics cookies from Google Analytics, and only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or do not choose, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load.

_ga is set by Google Analytics to tell visits apart. It lasts up to 2 years.
_ga_THJL0MNEP1 is set by Google Analytics to keep track of your current visit. It lasts up to 2 years.

Google Analytics tells me things like how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. It does not tell me who you are, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

How your choice is remembered

Your Accept or Reject choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so the banner does not keep coming back. It is kept for 12 months, then the banner asks again. It never leaves your device.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you switch from Accept to Reject, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted straight away.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Other services

The fonts on this website load from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. The enquiry form is handled by Formspree when you send it. My privacy policy explains who handles your data and your rights.
